Meet the Counselors!
Joel Phillips (K, 2nd, 4th)
I am so excited to be the new school counselor for kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade at Simonton Elementary School. This is my 12th year as a school counselor, I have worked in elementary schools in Virginia, Wisconsin, and now Georgia! As your school counselor, I am dedicated to providing students with the skills and support to access the amazing educational experiences at Simonton.
Outside of work, I love to run or play tennis, watch my favorite soccer teams, or get lost in a good book. I am also enjoying exploring all the wonderful food options in the area.

Bridgette Willis (1st, 3rd, 5th)
Hi! I am Bridgette Willis and I am excited to join Simonton ES as a School Counselor this year! I attended Columbus State University and received a Master's in Education in School Guidance and Counseling. This is my 16th year as a School Counselor in Gwinnett Couty Schools. I have also worked abroad in Abu Dhabi as a School Counselor where I developed a School Guidance and Counseling Program for a private academy.
I have a niece and three nephews. My favorite activity outside of work is spending time with family and friends! Some of my favorite things are traveling, reading, and Disney movies!
I am here to support our students and parents at Simonton ES. I look forward to an awesome school year!
